Mrs. Gwaltney

Welcome! My name is Lydia Gwaltney and I am the Instructional Facilitator here at SP. I wear lots of hats in this position.  The 23/24 year starts my 19th year at Stony Point. I have experience teaching first, second and kindergarten as well as being a Reading Specialist K-5.  My passion is reading and the reading process.  I manage our MTSS process, student assessments and all data, host weekly PLCs with teachers and serve interventions to students across the grade levels.

I currently hold a BA in Elementary Education & D/HI Education from LRU as well as a MA from App State in Reading.  I have National Board certification in Reading as well.  I look forward to helping you and your child have a wonderful experience here at SP.
